# Everest Linux
**A lightweight source based Linux distribution.**
**The enthusiast's distro**
Everest does not ship with a package manager (however the user can install one, notably Homebrew (https://brew.sh). This means the user must install all packages from tarballs.
Everest comes in 2 flavors, Everest Hike and Everest Summit.
Everest Hike aims to provide users with a reasonable amount of Linux experience a comfortable system.
Everest Summit aims to provide advanced users with a highly flexible, customizeable, and lightweight system.
